Tenzin Palmo Europe Tour: May - June 2009

Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo is undertaking her final overseas teaching tour to Europe in May and June 2009. Jetsunma, a renowned Buddhist teacher, combines her long experience in the Dharma and western sensibilities to make her teachings particularly accessible.

Supporting Jetsunma’s European tour also helps Dongyu Gatsal Ling, the Nunnery she founded in 2000 in northern India. All proceeds go towards supporting the DGL nuns and completing the building of the Nunnery, particularly the traditional Tibetan Temple.

His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa Gives Tenzin Palmo the Title of Jetsumna
Tenzin Palmo has been given the title of Jetsunma, which means Venerable Master, by His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa, Head of the Drukpa Kagyu lineage. His Holiness bestowed this honour on Tenzin Palmo at Druk Amitabha Mountain in Kathmandu on his birthday, the 16th February 2008, in recognition of her spiritual achievements as a nun and her efforts in promoting the status of female practitioners in Tibetan Buddhism.
